Welcome
My name is Sven Frieder and I have been a musician and luthier for the past ten years. I have created this website to show people how I do what I do and to show my appreciation for the craft of building fine instruments and the playing of them.
I have put together a guide showing you my methods of creating instruments and also the various machinery and equipment that you will need. (don’t worry you can get away with very little starting off!)
However helpful you find this guide it is only meant as an outline to give you an idea of what you can expect when building an instrument of your own. I strongly recommend further research as a detailed description of the whole process goes beyond the scope of this website.
I will be updating this website with any new resources and information I come across so you can learn as I do.
